between-the-tackles run, the offense was as ineffective as usual.Quarterback Andrew Walter couldn't mask his inexperienced identity for a full four quarters on Sunday, losing two costly fumbles with under five minutes remaining in the fourth quarter.Up until the final minutes of the final quarter, Walter was mistake free -- at least on the stat sheet.The 6-foot-5, 230-pounder finished the game with 18 completions on 33 attempts for 214 yards, no touchdowns and no interceptions. Had the young quarterback been on target, though, his 55 percent completion percentage would have likely neared 75. Walter had trouble hitting his open receivers all evening, despite standing behind a much better offensive line. The sophomore quarterback was sacked just three times, but found himself in the face of constant pressure -- a result of holding on to the ball far too long.In the receiving game, Randal Williams may have solidified a permanent spot as the team's starting tight end. The converted 6-3 receiver hauled in five athletics grabs for 60 yards, including a 20-yarder late in the third quarter. Lined up wide, Randy Moss was held to just one catch for eight yards, thrown to five times on the day. The ground game wasn't of much assistance, either.Fullback Zack Crockett ended the game as the team's leading rusher with just 40 yards on seven carries. Beneath Crockett sat LaMont Jordan with 12 yards on 10 carries and Justin Fargas with minus-6 yards on eight attempts. All together, the team rushed for just 46 yards, averaging an abysmal 1.8 per carry.For the first time of the '06 season, even the artless Tom Walsh is free from blame.Per request, Walsh moved Walter outside of the pocket, increased his running backs' workload and called an occasional designed screen pass.Unfortunately, a lack of execution offset a respectable game plan.Following the game, Walter took a roundabout punch at his offensive coordinator."We don't have a lot of depth as far as our playbook goes," he said. 36 Bettis White Jersey
